They could have rejected right away, its clearly stated in the documents sent to you by theme, that if they don't get the documents in 30 days they would just refuse it. I don't think they would want your passport just for refusal purposes. As per my information, they actually start reviewing your paperwork in detail once the medical is completed.

Pray for everyone here as well Sasha, everyone is in the same boat as you. I believe in the coming 2 weeks we should have more than enough timelines reported here, and for those who are just reading the forum and not joining. I would seriously advise you too, sometime you can be a big help and trust me this site is addictive.

hi guys i was reading all u guys post n now decided to join it too
my husband have appllied for student visa n me applied for temporaray resident visa to accompany him there
ou timeline is
submitted both application as one case on 15 th may 2009
my husbad got a bcom degree verification letter from CHC on 25th june2009
sended verification on 4th july 2009
CHC recieved it on 6th july 2009
n still waiting no reply from CHC
i pray we all get our visaz

My timeline:
Applied on 12 feb
send medical on 18th march and
got visa today on 4-8-2009
I am sure everyone will get visa inshallah
