First off, congrats to everyone who got the visa, and good luck everyone else. Anyway, I myself have applied for student visa and I was wondering if any of you could help me, i am really tensed about this..here goes:
I am applying for student visa from Pakistan, I have a few questions.
1) what is the refusal ratio for Pakistani students?
2) how long does it take for a decision to be made.
Some brief info about my application:
-I got a conditional offer( conditional being I have to complete my last year of A level with minimum of 2 Cs I already have 1 A and 2 Bs) from Trent University.
-I have paid my first year fee in advance.
-I have shown financial assests rounding to about CAD110,00, this includes properties and bank statements on my and my parents name.
-I got an overall band score of 7 on my IELTS.
Keeping this information in mind can anyone please guide me weather my case is strong enough or not?
Timeline of application:
applied on 17 june
got medical on 13 july
got my medical done on 21st july from Lahore ( I reside in Karachi but went to Lahore for medical as there werent any appointment available in Karachi till 3rd August)
PLEASE HELP!!!!

buddy no1 knows their criteria all you can do is wait as they usually take 4 - 6 weeks to finalize or take decision on application. when your classes start?? so they will make decision accordingly.

Long weekend, its good to see people are still positing MSG, Listen why just submitted my PP after the medical decided to use Gerry/FEDEX since it is securer having the fedex name and all.
July6th Application submitted
July21st got medical docs
July 23 competed medical
July 27th submitted Passport
now the wait of about 3-4 weeks

CHC send a confirmation email if it is PR visa application or migration while for study permit they do not send any kind of confirmation and they also do not tell you about your study permit application status over phone or email
P.S: By the way thanks for waking up some of the members ... LOL
