That is exactly what I was saying; don't write to convince that you will be returning; write about YOURSELF and your intent and your goals and your reasons for pursuing the degree and it's benefits to your life back home. I applied with 20,000 CAD for an 80,000 CAD post-secondary degree and I got accepted without an interview call.

It isn't about the money only. I have read cases where people have shown millions in the bank but still get rejected because they try too hard to convince them of WHY they will return and not WHY they're going.

Also, they will go through everything you send their way; they will read every word. Your letter is part of your application and will not be ignored before a decision is made.

Just my two cents.

It is written:

3. Proof of financial support

• evidence that you can support yourself and accompanying family members while you
study in Canada. Such evidence may include:

· proof of a Canadian bank account in your name if money has been transferred to Canada;
· your bank statements for the past four months;
· a bank draft in convertible currency;


The rest is upto you.. If you want you can just send a letter stating your account no., account holders name and  the amount in it..

I applied this year. I have stated my timeline in another topic. Can't find.

Applied 26th Feb
Medical 19th March
Sent passport back on 28th March
Got visa on 9th April

i applied at the same time and got the medical around 11th and sent my passport on the 13th.. still haven't recieved the visa.. i guess thats because my classes start in september and yours are this june or maybe have started.. anyways.. please pray that i get it in time..

guys, sorry to post in this thread..but this is the most relevant topic to my querie..i've been following this forum for abt 2 months now..

I applied for a Study permit for me and a dependant visa for my wife thru the CHC in Singapore on 30th April. Until now there is not even a medical call.. Will it be probably coz my classes start in September? But i understand that enquiry001 too has the same scenario, but his medical was called way back According to this site (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/international/14-temp-students.asp#asia) , the decision time is similar for both Islamabad & Singapore.

hey mugen?? what session did you apply for?? summer or fall?? I dont know what this means but I hope nothing is lost and things turn out fine!! anyways.. pray everyone!! coz if they loose it all our original documents are gone..

Inquiry u r aware of it tht they wont let u go so early as u r due in canada in september so wait a bit!!!!patience bro
