I am a Canadian citizen & my husband is a citizen of Tunisia, our file has been in the system since October 22, 2007.  My husband had his interview on April 9, 2008, we are now May 22.  What type of timeline are we to expect to hear anything back from them.  I have written e-mails on a few occassions, they say they have additional internal processes to complete, 6 weeks worth?  From information I could gather from people I know personally, they all told me it goes fairly quickly after the interview (we did get positive feedback from the Agent, he said everything was in order, there shouldn't be any issues)

So what could be going on?Huh  Is this normal???
How long should we have to wait???

Thx!

You haven't been waiting long...trust me.  I am a Canadian citizen as well, sponsoring my husband and our applications were received by CIC October 5, 2007.  We have yet to hear about an interview.  Count your blessings!

It's probably best to not have any preset 'expectations' and aim for the longest timeline they post since there are such big numbers being processed. Just be thankful there is nothing out of the ordinary about your case that would give them a reason to put you on the back burner. I am a third generation Canadian, my husband' sinterview was 19 months ago.

wow, that is a REALLY long time from application to now with no interview. Ours "did" move quickly at first, my husband was called a month after the processing office received our file to set a date of for the interview 5 weeks later. It's been since then everything has gone afoul.
