hello folks,

One of my friend is applying for the canada visitor visa and she is a f1 student in USA. the state she lives in dont have canada consular office so she would be mailing the application.

-can you let me know How long will it take to obtain visitor visa if we mail the documents?
- how long is the visitor visa normally given for? she can only utlize it if it is given for atleast 6 months.

I would really appreciate any reply please help

I am on F1 visa too..applied for Canada visit visa at LA consulate by  mail and got the passport with 6 month visa back in 2 weeks..if all documents are in order, no need to worry...

thank you so much toxgrad, I really do appreciate your reply.

I was wondering because the website says 1 month since my friend needs her passport in order to travel abroad we were more wooried abt the timeframe.

Can you please also let me know what kind of documents we should collect as a f1 student in usa to apply for the visitor visa for canada by mail. Can you please share your knowledge. Thanks a lot.
