Hey Nilda,
I happen to be in the same situation as you, I sent my application via UPS from the UK and it was recieved at the CIO on may 5th, my AMEX card was charged on August 3rd and I have not heard anything from them to this date either. I have tried the phone number severally but no one picks it up after getting through the machines. I'm worried they may have sent me something and it went into my spam which I usually delete without looking.
Have you tried the number? did you get through, I think I will send them a written surface letter if I dont hear anything by october 3rd.

Regards

Dear Members

Subject:            APPLICATION FOR PERMANENT RESIDENCE IN CANADA FEDERAL SKILLED WORKER –

NADEEMULLAH KHAN. (DOB APRIL 29, 1970)

I had applied for permanent residence in Canada along with my dependents & sent you my application for permanent residence in Canada through DHL courier on 03.05.2010.

I had also sent you the processing fee in the shape of Bank dated. 26.04.2010 for CDN $ 1550.00 receivable to

“Receiver General for Canada”.

The bank draft & my application form along with other pertinent documents were received by your office on

06.05.2010. The bank draft was encashed by your department.

It is more than 5 months; I do not know the fate of my application. Even I had not received any email or surface mail from immigration office. I daily check my email and surface mail. I am very much worried about my case.

My email & surface mailing address is as below:-

NADEEMULLAH KHAN

HOUSE # 301, NEAR SHAMA BAKERY,

MURREE ROAD,

Email: nuk1970 @ hotmail.com

If at all you have sent me any communication either by email or on my mailing address, kindly resend me the

same letter through email as well as on my mailing address.

Regret in convenient. Anxiously waiting for your quick response.

Yours sincerely.

hello guys,

here's my situation:

I have applied for skilled worker visa since September 09 (courrier dropped my application at central intake office, nova scotia on 8-Sep-09)...untill now I haven't received any input from immigration services regarding the file number....

Please advise normally how much time does it need to get the first reply from Canada.

thanks

09? That's like a 13 month delay? If you meant 2010, then nobody post-June-26 has had any positive communication (i.e. AOR) from CIC yet, the only clue people have is those whose credit card is charged or banker's draft is cleared.

If you meant 09 then 13 months is very unusual indeed. Those who applied in May and June 2010 are getting AORs now. Can you confirm that CIC definitely received your application by confirming if your credit card/banker's draft was charged/cashed?

Certainly you should contact CIC to find out what's happening.

Wayne.
