i have recieved my paasport request 1 so now i have to send photo copies of my passport and updated family chart and in that family chart they ask  me to provide file number so shall i right the number which was on medical request which was application number or the file number they have provided  to check on e-case

K let me tell u my friend, there are 2 identification numbers provided by immigration, which are described below.

1.  file no. -   it starts with two alphabets... example   BO57631250 or EP *******

2. UCI no. (unique identification number)  its of 8 numeric no.  example -  **** ****    or 1234-5678


you can use either number for communication with immigration. i will suggest you to use both.

Well its very confusing mate. these days all the visa offices in diff. country's are using diff. ways. I am done with my medicals in NOV.( 4 months)  & waiting for my visa.  however i got the medical request, passport request & landing fees request altogether.

my ecas status is same as urs medical received. no idea what they r upto.  Sad Sad Sad

Thats what now it shows on my ECAS. Before it was saying IN PROCESS.
So should i pre-assume i am going to get my passport very soon ?
Though when i click on DECISION MADE it shows the same things which it use to show on clicking IN PROCESS i.e.

We received your application for permanent residence on November 1, 2011.
 
We started processing your application on February 1, 2012.
 
Medical results have been received.

 @ LEO .... Congrats and all the best ....In my case also , they asked me for PPR,Medcial and PRF all together but still status is not updated to " IN PROCESS " yet Sad Now m bit relaxed after reading ur post...otherwise people were getting the Medical & PPR request after their status changed to IN PROCESS Smiley May b soon My ecas status will also change... Hope for the best Smiley

Thanks for the wishes. yep NDVO is processing applications in diff. ways. Its because the new guidelines for submitting applications cio. anyways dnt worry ur status will also change in few days. for me it took 3 months after the medicals. Wish we all get the magic v soon. Smiley

              so you sent your passport using canada post to CHC Delhi, correct?
and what's ur plan to get back your passport once approved?
