Brother, my claim took exactly 18 months. Average time was 19 months when i made claim. But now a days its fast, i know some peoples their claims were accepted in 7 months. from the best of my knowledge convention refugees and protected persons means whose claim accepted by the refugee board. i applied for pr card in june 2011 and still waiting for the pr card.

Dear Rizwan. I came in canada as refugee in oct 2009. My claim approved in April 2011. My story is same like you. I submitted application of my wife and three kids in Dec 2011 in islamabad. Ecas shows only application received. I heard that its take almost 2 years. pls let me know if you have any information.
can you please contact on my email address. Thx

I am heading to GTEC tomorrow to receive my answer on my PRRA and H & C application. (they were joined)
My family law matter is on-going, next court date is July 17th, regarding custody/access issues with my daughters (minors, Irish born, canadian citizens).
IF the decision as hoped is positive, what happens? IF negative, what happens then, or what are my options?
thanks.....

hello everybody
please help i'm very confused ( i get sick of stress and i lost my hair )
I applied as refugee claim in Canada , while waiting for hearing I get married and my wife sponsored me , CIC Received my sponsorship application and they still working on it since November 2011 and it seams fine ,,,, after applying for sponsorship IRP they called me for hearing for my refugee case and the claim was 100% accepted ..that was in may 2012 , 2 weeks later the IRP send me the paper as approved refugee so I can apply for Permanent Residence but I already applied for Permanent Residence as family class sponsorship which's 6 months before the hearing ,, please advice what is better for me , do i have to apply again as accepted refugee ( i don't know how long it will take to get my PR ) or shall I just keep my sponsorship application ?
i appreciated

1. 1st Stage 6-7 months. 2. Final decision 10 months. 3. See: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-other.asp
