Hello everyone,

I have just a quick question does a dependent of Protected Person who is accompanied family member in the application of Permanent Residence residence in Canada required to pay the Right of Permanent Residence fee. I know the principal applicant needs to pay the processing fee and is exempted from RPRF does this apply to family members in Canada and abroad who were included in the application of PA.

Thanks,

  Hello friends!

I am a convention refugee accepted by IRB.
I applied for permanent resident in February 2011.
I did the medicals in August.
I got a letter asking about fingerprinting on January 26th  2012
I sent it on January 28 and  they received it. (I checked the letter's status by Canada post's  tracking number) However, they  have not added anything in my ecas. Also I called and they do not have any information about the  last letter.

Below is what shows on my ecas.
We received your application for permanent residence on February 11, 2011.

We started processing your application on March 21, 2011.

A decision has been made and you will be contacted.

We received the requested information on August 18, 2011. Thank you for providing the information.

Dear friends who has the same experience, please kindly tell me what will happen next? Will they send me a  letter about final decision without add it on my ecas. Approximate how long time will it take to get a final result? Sad Sad Cry
Please shear your experience. Any information will be helpful.

Hi deme,

I think although they received the letter regarding fingeprint on January 28, 2012 it might still not being reviewed by I/0. Sometime it may take a number of days to be opened up to 2 or 3 months regarding the volume of correspondence received in Vegreville. My advice is to call Cic agent's asking which date are they opening correspondence currently.

Also, I think they might have received your medical but pending Rcmp check either background or security after they finished this you will get your final letter for completion of processing.

I am very new to this website and need help with a few questions, your replay will be highly appreciated.

I am a protected person and applied for PR in January 2011, to make it short I have received a letter from CPC Vergrecillle a few days ago stating that, "we are pleased to advise you that processing your application has been completed. The Canada immigration Centre in Etobicoke will contact you concerning your PR Status.

My question is when should I expect to have my landing interview?

My passport was seized by CBSA upon on my entry to Canada, should I arrange by my self to get back my passport from CBSA as I would need it for my landing interview? any contact number?

Also, I am planning to travel abroad for family emergency at the end of March, should I travel before my landing interview with travel document?

Or should I wait and travel after landing interview? in that case can I can travel with travel documents as landed immigrant?

Thanks

Hey,

most likely, they will give you in around one month a letter that says interview date, and u will recieve that letter again around one month before your landing. I mean from now, you consider almost 2 months or less.

good luck
