dear friends
share your experience here
I have applied from BUFFALO office.
submitted the medicals June 10, 2007
and the rest of the documents including police FBI and bank statements by July 7th 2007.
I still havent heard anything from the canadian authorities.
please advise as to how long it takes to finalize the application
i checked the CIC online website which says the application is still IN PROCESS
thanks

I think you'll hear something soon.  My medicals were done about May 30th, and FBI/bank statement/fees were received by the Buffalo office on July 30th.  I received my passport request on September 5th - and the CIC website still says "In Process."

I received letter for submitting passport for immigration visa stamp for PR. How long is the visa generally valid, stamped by Canadian consulate (buffalo)? is it 3 months, 6 months or 1 year? or does it depend on the last date when your medicals expire? My medicals expire in Novī07, and if I send passport for stamping in Oct, will I get only one month visa? Isnīt that too little time to move to Canada??

Thanks in advance for your help & suggestion.
