Three questions about landing
«

My common-law spouse's application for PR has been approved recently, but she has not landed yet. The latest possible date to land is in April, based on one year from the date of the medical certificate.
Getting here by this time may be difficult to work, family and travel commitments. So here are my questions:
1) Is it possible to extend this date in any way? For example, by taking an additional medical examination?
2) After arriving, is there any minimum number of time she needs to stay for (beyond the 3 years in 5 rule)? Does she need to stay in order to collect the PR card, or can I do that for her and mail it to her?
Thanks in advance for your answers.

1. No, once the PR visa is issued, you can not extend it. If she lets it expire, you will have to apply again.
2. There is no minimum stay after she lands. She only needs to complete 2 in 5 years in Canada, not 3 in 5. If she gives your address to immigration and says she is staying there and does not mention to them that she will be leaving before the PR card arrives, they will mail it there and you can mail it to her.
