Working Holiday in Australia during PR application

Hello guys!

I Just applied for PR through Provincial Nominee Program, so I have to wait up to 18 month now. I'm thinking about one year vacation time in New Zealand/Australia

How do you think, if it can be a problem if my employer will tell CIC that I quit my job?
Is it legal to wait for PR in different country than Canada?
