which are the options to work as paralegal in toronto

Hello to everyone!

I am a Licensed Lawyer from Albania. I worked as a Lawyer back home for 5 years. Now i came in Toronto and planning to live here.

-I wanted to know if i have any facilities as a licensed lawyer, to work as paralegal here?
-Do i need to do any class and for how long, or is any other class that applies to my case?

If not, please, which are the options for me to start working as a lawyer or paralegal here.

Hi Paola,

My husband is on the same boat and I wanted to consult you on this. We will be landing shortly to Toronto as new immigrants and my husband is a lawyer in Turkey holding a Masters Degree in Law from United Kingdom. If we he chooses to pursue his career as a lawyer in Toronto, he needs to take bridging courses and finally the bar exam but he he prefers not to pursue that road but go for the paralegal path. My question is whether he will be exempt from taking the Paralegal Diploma courses and he can jump into taking the qualification exam or not?
I would really appreciate your wisdom on this.
