what is the processing time for online study permit application ?

all those who have applied online and got a reply from CHC DELHI , plz tell me what is the processing time for online study permit application ?
do they necessarily ask for previous education docs one day after submitting online app. i submitted on 6th july but have not got any email till 9 july , does anyone know why didn't they ask for previous education mark sheets( i have seen some people posting here that they were asked marksheet scan copies to upload one day after they applied online)

Sana, it seems that there are only the two of us from India.
You have applied on the 6th, which was Saturday. The CHC is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. They would have gone through your application on Monday ie: 8th of July which is today!

Anyways, don't worry too much, they may or may not ask for the docs.

yup, we are the 2 most advanced indians ;D ;D though i hope there are others too applying online, anyway i hope we get a positive reply very soon ..inshalla...

Can u both share the list of docs u have uploaded
I have been to many consultants , and they are just telling about their fees. nothing else they are focussed on!!!
It would be great help for me as I am too planning to apply online

you dont need a cunsultant for online app. its very simple, just register at mycic and apply , you will be asked many ques. , at the end you will get a personal checklist, this contains all the docs you need to upload. thats it. much simpler than the paper app.

I would suggest you to apply under SPP through VFS if you are eligible for it. When you apply online, I guess it falls under General category, coz the processing time is more than the paper application. I've seen people get visa in 3-5 days when they applied through VFS.
The good thing about applying online is that you don't have to go anywhere for application submission, there are very few docs. required by the CHC and you don't have to get them notarized.

If you want to apply online, go to cic.gc.ca and follow the steps. You'll have to make a GCKey account and then generate a personal checklist of the docs you need to send with your application by answering some simple questions. Complete your application and then upload the required documents, after that you'll have to play your application fees online, and that's it!

5. Passport Copy
6. Digital Photo
7. Acceptance Letter from College

Later they asked me for my previous education docs.

I will be going for Game Development Advanced Programming from Sheridan College, if I get my visa Insha Allah.

Hello, I applied online for a Study Permit on May, 20. A month after they asked for a Medical Examination it is July, 31 and no updates on my account. I am starting classes September, 8. Does any one knows if I have any chance of getting my Permit on time?
