A friend of mine is applying for PR Application however he has few questions where he needs some advise:

Passports, Citizenahip & IDs:

He is from Pakistan and currently in UK on work visa. His daughter and wife both are UK citizens and they also hold NICOP (National ID Card for Overseas Pakistanis). The purpose of this card is just to travel visa free to Pakistan using US Passport.

Q1: On the Application Form under "Current Citizhen Ship and Other Citizenships"... should they write only UK or Should they mention UK + Pakistan?

Q2: under section about "Do you have National ID", should they say No or should they say Yes and write Pakistan NICOP number?

Q3: Employment & Activity History:

During his job history in Pakistan, (in 2010), he worked for a private company for only 3 months and that company is now closed down and doesn't exist any more. He has no documentary evidence for that job (no contract letter, no appointment letter, no resignation letter, no pay slips... as it was a very small contracting company).... then he joined another company after this but could not continue for more than 2 months and left the company during probation period (he has only appointment letter for this job) ...He doesn't want to show the first company as he doesn't have ANY documentary evidence and for 2nd job he doesn't want to mention as he is afraid that this company may give bad statement upon verification as he left them abruptly during probation and not completed the contract ....Should he mention it as unemployed during this 3+2 months consecutive period?

Q4: under questionnaire of " Have you ever been denied entry or deported from Canada?"

If someone has voluntarily by himself/herself opted for the option of "entry withdrawal / Permission to leave and go back to home country" just upon arrival at Canada Airport or Border due to some unforeseen circumstances back home, will it be considered as denied entry or deported ? Do this need to be mentioned in the PR application Form?

1. citizenship for a country is only if you have a passport issued by that country. if they have a NICOP it is a visa document and not proof of citizenship. (unless they have dual citizenship i.e. a pakistani passport as well)
2. As they are citizens of the UK, they need to enter a national ID card from the UK - which the UK does not have - so i would suggest to leave it blank.
3. I would never recommend lying on your visa application. If he says he didnt work, he will be asked to prove how he supported himself etc etc etc and get into trouble based on that. It might work, but I would never recommend it - the best option is to write a statement of exactly what you say and mention that he is unable to provide any documents as the company no longer exists.
4. No idea - might have to check with someone else on that. my limited knowledge of such cases is that his passport would have been stamped showing he was refused entry/deported.
