Urgent assistance on Open work permit

Hello All,

I seek urgent assistance on Open work permit Visa.

My wife has been selected for project in Ontario from her company and as such the company has ask her to apply for Work permit visa (for one year). I being the dependent, the company, have also applied for my open work permit(for one year).

My main question is : Can i work for one year till my validity of open work permit visa even though my wife project gets complete in 3 to 4 months and she is being ask to join her employer back home. Or do i need to come back with her ?

Kindly advise and any further useful information which i need to be aware of in such scenarios would be of great help.
