Thread for applicants of NEW DELHI 2010!

Discussion in 'Family Class Sponsorship' started by Rachel, Jun 25, 2010.

  1. Just a quick question, when you are referring to any address changes, are you logging in as the sponsor or as the applicant because when I log in as the sponsor, I see the Canadian address but when I log in as the applicant, I don't see anything for any address.

    Just curious!

  2. Invisible photos.

I have just taken a cruise vacation and the boarding / purchases / I.D. card had a picture that only their machine readers could see. It's becoming common technology.

  3. logging in as the applicant

  4. Are all these cases discussed in this forum mainly straight forward?
The time line you are discussing here for Straight Forward case only?
What condition is generally considered as a straight forward?

  5. nobody knows ---------- to be honest no case is 100% simple !
but lets say 80:20 ratio should be good!
but we dont know what they r looking for

  6. How many here who went through the Delhi Embassy are Indian and Indian. How many are interracial?

  7. In my case my wife is Pakistani christian and i am Hindu. She is 5 years older than me. She is sponsoring me
My application had been already submitted, it was approved by CPC-M on this 27th Feb. Since then till now only 1 further update i.e. medical received. Dont know when I will get PPR.

  8. ONE QUERY!!!

CAN I WITHDRAW RS.ONE LAC FROM MY SAVINGS ACCOUNT AND DEPOSIT TO MY EXISTING MUTUAL FUND. SAVINGS ACCOUNT WILL COME DOWN BY ONE LAC AND MUTUAL FUND WILL GO UP BY ONE LAC. I HAD SUBMITTED BOTH AS MY PROOF OF FUND WHEN I SUBMITTED THE FULL DOCUMENTS AT ND VISA OFFICE

    REQUEST YOUR SUGGESTION

PS: SAVINGS ACCOUNT BALANCE IS EXACTLY THE SAME AMOUNT NOW, THAT I HAD SEND TO CIC WHEN I SUBMITTED THE FULL DOCUMENTS.

  9. yes u can - they cant expect u to not manage ur money

  10. you can.

  11. Hello Everyone

HAS THE RULE PASSED (CONDITIONAL PR OF 2 YEARS)    ?
As I came to know (from a friend), that the conditional PR 'll be issued to landing Spouse from next week.

Kindly clear, if anybody has information.

  12. There is no such rule as conditional PR. Anybody receiving PR after March 2nd 2012, who came to canada on a spouse visa will not be able to sponsor their spouse(2nd marriage) for 5 years. They were planning to introduce conditional PR but that would have promoted domestic abuse.
Anyways, these rules do not effect any one of us here, 5 or even 10 years, does not make any difference to genuine relations. There rules are to deter fake marriages and are welcomed by everybody. :D

  13. @ JP and Gursikhphysio

CIC will be conducting consultation with the public on that issue soon.

"To show it is serious about cracking down on marriage fraud, CIC is taking a number of steps to deter it. For example, in addition to the sponsorship bar, further public consultations are also expected to begin in the coming weeks on a proposed conditional permanent residence measure. A Notice of Intent proposing the development of this conditional measure was published in the Canada Gazette on March 26, 2011. The measure aims to deter people in newer relationships from using their relationship to gain quick entry to Canada as permanent residents when they have no intention of staying with their sponsor."

  14. there are two rules being implemented, one regulation came into effect on march 2, 2012 which pretty much says that a sponsored spouse cannot sponsor another spouse or partner for 5 years. the second one is the conditional PR. the intent to change the legislation was filed last march and in coming weeks this will be implemented.
