Hi there,
I've been working outside Canada for the past 6 years in Nicaragua... My income is minimum to say the least however since I have not earned in Canada I have not declared taxes. Will this effect me when I return? Also I'm currently trying to sponsor my spouse will this impact our application?

No, if you aren't living in Canada, and don't have any strong ties to Canada, then you don't have to pay tax here. Once you return, you will re-establish your residency and can start paying tax on your global income. This will have no effect on your sponsorship application.
