Study permit and Work Permit. What happen after your studies?

Hi there,

My Name is Sebastian, from Colombia. I am planning to start a graduate certificate in a college, starting January next year.

I am married, and I know that I can apply for my study permit, and my wife can get a study permit while I am studying (for the same period of time).

However, I am concerned about what will happen after I finish my studies. I know that I will be able to apply for a work permit, but what will happen with my wife? Can she re-apply for another work permit? How does it work?

Your wife can apply for an open work permit while you study. There's never I guarantee the study permit will be approved. Once you finish your studies and obtain a full time job that is skill level A, B or 0, your wife can apply to extend her work permit.
