Hey guys,
I just got my ITA today and I'm filling out all the information and I just got to the question:
"Have you been previously married or in a common-law relationship?"
The thing is, I have been traveling mostly for the last 4 years and when I'm in my home country for a bit, I stay with my parents.
But officially I still live together with my ex with whom I own a house together. We never got a contract stating that we are together
and our taxes are filed separately but we do still have a joint bank account where we get rent money etc, next to of course also owning our own separate bank accounts. So my question is, does this count as a previous common-law relationship and if so, should I tell CIC? What if they ask for proof that we are not together anymore? How do I prove that we split up about 5 years ago?
