It's doesn't matter if she is in Canada for visiting. She can apply outland since she is in Canada. At the end of her temporary residence visa, she need to back to her country anyway.

She has already applied outland. The application has been in Mississauga since May 3rd. I was told that she could apply for an extension to her temporary visa once the first one expires as she is in the process of getting the permanent visa. I was just wondering if this forwarding on to Singapore is going to cause delays or if it doesn't really matter which place processes the application.

So I guess that your wife is from an exempt visa country and that she can come in Canada and extend her visa easy. Where she is from ? It's not the majority of applicants in Singapore that is in this situation. In this case, I think that the only problem that you can meet is if she need to meet the agent for an interview.

I think that you will have the same time of treatment whatever where it's done. I don't know now, but before people did Outland application cause it was faster than inland.

I am little bit jealous that you can enjoy the time with your wife while the waiting Ahahah !

yes i paid all fees already. i sent all the required documents. we also sent many supporting documents like, wedding photos ( we did 2 wedding in Turkey and in Vietnam) both were many people attended plus our families of course. we have a kid. i have a good income in Canada. my mother in law and father in law both police officer in Vietnam. My wife has a good job with salary. i visited Vietnam many times and my wife visited my family many times. we sent all photos passport stamps . hopefully with all this papers they wont give us any hard time

If you feel confident with the application that you submit and you already paid all fees needed, be confident that they will review it fast and she will get her permanent resident visa in 12 months from when you submit it. Just need to wait now.

Does it's something new that they send back evidence and photos to applicants people's before the decision is made ?

They send us back our evidences and pictures last week. They advice us about it with the request to do for a second time the medical cause the first one will expire 23 august.

I ask about it cause My wife received all the evidences by mail without the letter saying that she need to do an interview. They also ask me to pay for the right of permanent residence.

I received GCMS notes today and it's says : "appear bona fide". I hope it's mean that interview it waived on our case.

So I guest that maybe now, in the new process, the applicants will received back evidence with a letter saying that they are in the queue for an interview and other where the interview is waived will received the evidences without this letter ???

Hi guys, today I got mail from SVO and inside have 19 pictures and documents they don't need ( Funeral card of my father in law ).
Any idea how long SVO will send me request for my passport????
OMG only waiting..make me crazy

That looks like a good sign I would say!! They no longer need to see your pictures, so must mean that they are ready to approve your eligibility soon, and hopefully request your passport in the near future! Very exciting! But so hard to wait! Keep us updated!

This waiting game is killing me, I think they will do on my documents one time for week . Make me crazy .

Haha I think they like to make us go crazy!! My husband is getting his medical done on Monday August 7th!! So soon!! He could have done the medical last week, but it gives us an excuse to drive the 2.5 hours down to Chiang Mai so I can celebrate my birthday on the 6th!! How long did it take after you did the medical before they "passed" it?

He could have done the medical last week, but it gives us an excuse to drive the 2.5 hours down to Chiang Mai so I can celebrate my birthday on the 6th!! We probably need to do sputum tests due to possible inactive tb (he had to do the sputum test and a second x-ray 2 years ago when he applied for a work visa to Canada) so we weren't sure how long it takes them to review the medical and either pass it or request further tests. To drive home the 2.5 hours or stay an extra day or two and wait for a sputum test request... Hmm...

Thank you ! When we go on the website of the Singapore vo, they don't talk about Japan. They talk about the countries in South Asia. I think Japan applicant was in Manila in the Philippine before.

Anyway we just hope that everything will be fast and positive for all applicant

We received last Friday a request for a further medical test. The first medical passed but second one look to have something wrong.

I hope it's not about TB test. Everybody say that it's so long.

I am already in Vietnam to spend all the summer time with my wife. We enjoy and hope that she can have the visa fast.

How long you get email request for passport after you got photo back ??
25/07/2017 I got email request for police check original and then I send to SVO they got27/07/207 And 1/8/2017 I got photo back untill now still quited .
