Has anyone been able to get reliability status after arriving as a PR? I spoke to a lawyer that tells me it should not be a problem. However, I see stories pointing in opposite directions on the Internet, although very little concrete evidence.
Most of my experience has been in international development banking, and doing impact evaluation for development in the US, so most jobs I am a match for are in the government. If I indeed need the status, and I can't get it, I should not waste my time applying to these jobs.
