Hello guys

Some of us have spent almost 6 or 7 years, and maybe more under refugee status

What happens to all the days that we have spent as refugees in Canada before "one day" we become permanent residents.

Will these days be credited towards the required period of time when we apply for the citizenship?
Or, those days will not be counted. And, we will need to spend another 4 years for the citizenship?

With the new immigration rules, you'll receive credit for up to two years at 1/2 credit per day. So this means you'll get credit for a full year of pre-PR residency towards citizenship. You'll still need to accumulate another two years post PR before you can apply.
