Query regarding Proof of Funds for Express Entry

Discussion in 'Express Entry / Expression of Interest' started by ssaini02, May 19, 2017 at 2:54 AM.

  1. Hi anujgupta84 ,

My name is Sandeep Saini and I am from India. I received ITA two days back (17th May, 2017). I am in dilemma regarding proof of funds.

I am in the process of arranging funds. Neither my father has the money nor I.
He will arrange from relatives and transfer to my account. Does he also need to show proof as in where did he get the money from?

My 2nd query is that is it necessary that the money should be kept as it is in the account for all the time that CIC takes till flying to Canada or we can just show it for the purpose of getting the letter from the bank and then withdraw because no relative would agree to provide money for more than one or two months.

My last query is that apart from the Letter from the Bank as a proof of funds and the gift deed signed by my father, do I need any other document in this case?

Your valuable reply would be of great assistance to me.

    Thanks and Regards
    Sandeep Saini

  2. Document wise, I think Letter from Bank and Gift deed should suffice. However, it is important that you keep the money in your bank a/c till you get PR

I have question... if you do not have the money required for settlement there, wouldn't it be difficult for you to survive in the initial days, without a job offer? I hope you have thought through your options, because you will be spending on air tickets, visa fees etc too

  3. Thank you for your response. I can arrange for the Visa fees and the air tickets which is approx. Rs 1 lac but at present I have to show 12500 CAD which is slightly difficult for me.

  4. It is your personal call and you are the best judge of your situation.
All the best for your application friend
