Hello everyone,

I expect to be landing soon as a QSW. I am confused about my proof of funds requirements.

Am I required to show the $2,956 quoted to me when I filled out my CSQ?

OR

Must I show $11,931, which is the amount on the CIC website for skilled workers?

Thank you.

For Quebec you don't need to show any amount, you signed a financial agreement when you filed you application where you declare that you have the amount that they ask depending on how many people are part of your family IN Your case $2956. This declaration with this amount of money is for an approximate of 3 months according to Quebec (probably you need more) but you don't need to show any proof of funds, be aware if you take 10000 CAD or more you have to declare. But that's all.

Thank you, cherishlady. This is what I expected. It does just seem like such a small amount of money to need to start off!

It IS a ridiculously small amount! I'd suggest bring more, triple that maybe?, unless you have a job waiting, and/or family & friends who can accommodate you for the first few months!
