In the Philippines majority of the population are Christian Catholics. Most of us are baptized when we were still infant. So CIC Manila branch is asking for it. It was on the list they gave my parents when they asked for additional documents to be given by the applicant. The problem is it was so long ago my dad’s already 70.

My application was received by CIC on July 26 as per canada post tracking. I have not received any AOR emails nor am i able to view the status of the application on the online tool. Any reason to worry here? Anyone else in a similar situation.

Don't worry. My app was received July 17th and I received AOR email on Oct 7th.

Hi, I need help to compute my family size, Im married and just had a baby. Im sponsoring my mom and dad. I have two sibling which are ovrr 22yrs old. Do I need to count them too? And do I need to count my baby even she's born 2017?

No, you don't count siblings unless they're dependant on your parents due to mental or physical reasons since before they turned 19.
Excluding siblings; your family size is 5.

My application was sent last week of July and I haven't received anything as of yet.

Received the letter by mail yesterday oct 16th,Fille transfered to Ottawa.

Could someone tell what to do when you don't know a family member's date of birth? I am sponsoring my parents and my grand parents' date of birth are not known. They are deceased.

The form wont accept 0000-00-00. Any thoufhts

Hello Colleagues,

we received an email today from London visa office that the outstanding docs are Police certificates for my parents from Kuwait and my brother (the sponsor who lives in Canada) from Egypt .. We send them the PCC from Kuwait for my parents before two weeks through DHL and we got acknowledgment as well. I wonder how we can solve this issue ?

Do they have email or Phone to contact them directly ?

I'd use approximate date based upon your best guess. Same issue comes up when sponsoring grand parents since most great grand parents didn't even have a birth or death cert. I'm sure IRCC is aware and considerate of this.
