Is this a serious question? If you really find a suitable business for you, then the last thing you would to is to spill the beans to your potential competition.

There are already plenty of selleres that are selling them directly from China / India.
If you are just talking about cheap stuff for few CAD.

And many people use cheaper websites than E-Bay.

If you want to do such as official business, you would be caught on the spot in the whole importing legaly part and also being responsible for the product problems.

So speaking specially about cheap gadgets, those that sell directly do not really care that much about any legal thing in Canada (they are practicaly untouchable).

Unless you are selling a unique product or doing high volumes, E-Commerce is a risky and quite complicated business. The margins in e-commerce are getting less on a year-to-year basis and the cost of supply chain in Canada are not competitive as it is in neighboring USA.

There are many opportunities in the manufacturing, import/export and retail sectors but it all depends on your background experience.

I think there are plenty of opportunity for business to be done in Canada but you need to look for one that matches:
a) Your qualifications and experience b) The investment you are willing to make or can afford.

With that said; I would recommend that you:
a) Check the Canada's official trade statistics (Canadian International Merchandise Trade (CIMT)) and identify products that have a better supply/demand opportunity

b) Assuming you will/are applying under the MPNP-B, you need to keep in mind that the minimum investment of $150K must be in "Tangible Assets" and not all types of trading are subject for approval by Manitoba Immigration so you may want to examine manufacturing locally if feasible.
