ITA 17th May and wife pregnant

Hi Seniors,

I have got ITA on 17th may and yesterday came to know about my wife's pregnancy.
I searched through the forums for this case but dint get correct answer to clear the confusion.
our medical appointments are fixed for 30th May.
Is it possible to go ahead for xray with some sort of shield like lead apron etc or Xray will be deferred for sure?
Anybody know any hospital in North India which provides this lead apron shield for Xray.

All panel physicians have the apron...if you get a letter from your gynec saying that it's ok to take xray then no problem

X-ray during pregnancy isn't recommended with or without the shield. Check with your wife's gynaecologist. Good luck.

I will suggest to inform the hospital upfront that your wife is pregnant and then have her Medicals deferred..

in this case CIC will put your file on Hold until your wife delivers and then get her Medicals done...

Also, you will end up updating the Family Members Information and the POF

So I am done with the medicals..
Got deferral letter for wife's XRays...

We will do it after the delivery..
