income splitting if partner is here on work permit

my partner is here on a work visa and makes a lot more than me. can we income split so that when I file my taxes I can absorb some of his income?

^do you have kids under 18? if yes you can claim the family tax cut line 423, it NOTIONALLY split the income to claim a max of $2,000 tax credit,
and CCB will go to the spouse with lower income.
If no kids, sorry, you can't split the income,
only pension income can be split.

The family tax cut was eliminated. There is no more concept of regular income splitting in Canada for taxes.
