IELTS score to Points Conversion

Can some one please help me understand the points calculation based on the score I get in IELTS. I mean there are 4 skills, speaking, listening, reading, writing. The maximum I can score is 24. So how much points do I need to get in IELTS to have 4 in all skills.

Also is there a breakup to understand that better anywhere in web or other places, i.e if I get 6 in Reading, its moderate and I get 2 points and if its 7 its High and i get 4 points.

Advice and sharing information is appreciated.

You would need 6.5 speaking, 7.5 listening, 6.5 reading and 6.5 writing to get full points. If you get that in 3 categories but moderate in one category, you would get 2 points for the moderate category and 4 for each of the other ones.

In writing Module total score for Report writing is 3.6 and for Essay writing is 5.4. This score depends on your ability to write a report and an essay.

Similarly, speaking module covers total of 9 score. You will never get the score of speaking in decimal.

and when you want to convert your band score into immigration points, use this table.

Hi

Report writing is no more a part of the Writing task 1 for general training. The task 1 rather is a letter writing task which serves a more practical purpose .
