ielts listening and reading band calculation system

Hello all

I would like to know that for getting 7.5 bands in listening & 6.5 in reading how much answer should be right one of my friend said that

for listening right answer should be 32-33
for reading right answer shoul be the same 32-33

is it correct

Other question is there any diiferent method to calculate the listning & reading band of general & academic traing . One of my freind say that for listening it is same but for reading if any academic cabdiate do 29 answer right out of 40 then his score for reading will be 7 & whereas to get 7 band in reading for general candidate he has to do 36 answer right further he give the reason because acadamic reading is tough then general traing so they become lineant while calculating the band.

Just keep this rule in mind: If you are scoring between 32-35 correct answers in both listening and reading practice tests then you're ready to take the test and will achieve a desirable band on the actual test. That should be your target when you are doing your practice tests at home.

If you're not scoring in that range in your practice tests that means you are not ready to take the test and your English needs overall improvement. That improvement will only come from more immersion in the language like watching English channels and reading interesting books..etc

Actual test is a little bit on the easier side as I had noticed this previously during my real tests.
