Here is my wife situation.
She is now in Canada as a visitor and she applied for her first work permit. Her application was approved and they requested the passport. We got the passport back with a new visa stamped. After asking we were told we have to "cross the border" for her to get her first work permit. So we went to the Rainbow Bridge in Niagara and flagpoled. When we entered Canada the officer told us they only issue WP there on certain days (Tue, Wed and Fri) and the lineup starts at 6am and it is a very long wait. When I asked about alternatives he said we could go to a local IRCC office or get a pre-approved work permit paper and croess the border again at anytime with this document and they will issue her WP. Questions:
1) How do we schedule an appointment in a local IRCC office?
2) What is pre-approved WP and how could we get this?
