You can see salaries here: http://www.jobbank.gc.ca/res-eng.aspx?ProvId=99&kwd=casino&OpPage=50&Stdnt=No&nsrc=1 but I have also heard that you get tips.

If your English is good and you have casino experience, I don't see why you'd have less of a chance to get a job there than somebody else.

if your profession is included in the Skill shortage list then you can apply without having a job - as long as you can score enough points in the selection criteria. Otherwise you will need arranged employment.

The skill shortage list will be announced in early May 2013 i believe, so you need to keep yourself updated by frequently visiting the official web www . cic . gc . ca

Hello there my name is Alex, currently i'm living in England, I'm English and I fell in love with Canada and a Canadian girl when i visited earlier this year for 6 months reluctant to leave I flew to the Dominican Republic to visit my mother for christmas. I'll be returning to England in 10 days to start the process of applying for a work permit to work in Canada. I've researched that i need a job offer in order to receive a permit,
So here's my pitch ;)
I have been in love with Driving and logistical work since i got my first driving job back in 2000, Driving a van and delivering parcels (about 150 drops a day) around the city, that included delivering and collecting consignments from/to the customer. Long days i can deal with no problem but i found myself looking at the huge heavy goods vehicles and wanting to step up to that kind of challenge, i knew that i needed more experience first. Here i am still looking at the HGV's from my little van lol. Only because the schooling for a class 1 or 2 licensis is verrrrrrrrrrry expensive in England and finding a employer that would finance that training are few and far between..... Until now, i've read that there are such companies in Canada. While i was visiting, friends told me that there are companies screaming out for drivers and even offering training too.
So i need help finding these companies.
I'm very hard working with a ambition to learn, along with me being very loyal and trustworthy. I hold a valid UK license for 14 years with no points or bans and can drive up to a 7.5 tonne truck.

I'm desperate to come back to Canada and will do all that is required to help my application so any help you could give would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks
Alex Candido

Hey everyone! This thread is what I'm sorely looking for these past few weeks. I read that few fortunate job seekers really did found a job at canadian job sites.

I have a quick question though. I am oblivious to the noc categories that I may apply to when I scout for jobs online. I am a nurse, I see that international nurses don't usually get job offers from Canada because they have to be licensed in CA to do that, but for the purpose of AEO, what other noc categories would be okay for my profession??? I don't even care if its a semi-skilled or a low-skilled category. As long as its acceptable as AEO... Seniors help please! :D

It is not possible to get an AEO for semi- or low-skilled category. They are only given for skilled jobs.

I do not think you can get licensed as a registered nurse while you are still outside Canada although I have heard something about temporary licensing for foreign nurses. You can read something about that here: http://www.nursevancouver.com/files_2/pdf/faqs.pdf

You could also look into getting licensed as an LPN (licensed practical nurse) which is still a skilled occupation but a lower degree of nursing and easier to get licensed in.

Hi Everyone....

I plan to move to Canada, most possibly in AB province in next 1-2 month.

I hold MBA and BE (Mechanical) degree and have more than 12 years of international experience in HVAC (Air-conditioning) Industry.
My profile mostly has been around Sales Engineering/Technical Sales and Business Development.

I'd greatly appreciate if I can get some inputs on the possibility or ways of finidng a suitable job in my sector, preferably in ON or AB province.
Or, if I can be provided with contacts of suitable Job Consultants, Head-hunters etc. it'd be also great!

Thanks in advance
:)

Thanks for your inputs...
