Ay wala pa po. Hehe. Pero i received my ITA already and in the process of complying all the documents. By the way, are you planning to hire a consultant? Or do you want to do it by yourself? Hehehe.

Also, I am not sure if you will get points (to qualify sa fsw) from your relatives in Canada. Pero for CRS, no, wala kang additional points.
oo nga po eh try ku nalang siguro mag-add ng additional points in other areas. Maraming salamat sa advice nyu. :)

Unfortunately, Yes. Additional gastos. Actually you can do it on your own lang talaga. And this site is a big help.

I graduated Hotel and Restaurant Administration in March 2014 sa isa sa mga state universities sa bansa then took BS in Business Administration major in Management Accounting the following semester kasi requirement sa papel namin na hindi kami dapat mag-work at continuous lang dapat ang pag-aaral. I was only able to finish 3 semesters sa BSBA-MA kasi dumating ang visa namin noong November 2015, pero 3rd year student na ako noon sa program tapos may 4th year subjects din ako kasi maraming na-credit na subjects ko noon from BSHRA. Currently, I am enrolled in one of the colleges here in British Columbia under the Post-Degree Diploma in Accounting program.

Nagpa-assess ako sa CPAWSB noong June this year, which was suggested by my academic advisor here in Canada. I just got the result this September, and they only exempted me in Introductory Accounting, Economics, and Management Information Systems.

By the way, dumating ako dito sa Canada noong December 2015, at permanent resident ako na dumating dito.

God bless us all.

EDIT: As part of CPAWSB transcript assessment, nagpa-assess din ako sa World Education Services (WES). Ang BSHRA ko ay equivalent sa "Secondary school diploma and diploma (2 years)" habang ang BSBA-MA ko ay equivalent sa "One year of post-secondary study." Sa CPAWSB assessment, I am eligible for CPA PREP, which I expected. Estimated na matatapos ko ang PDD-Accounting program sa Winter 2020, kasi part-time student lang ako tapos included din ang Coop Ed sa program which is although optional, maganda ding experience. Yun lang po. :)

Hi po. My credentials are evaluated na pwede na magproceed sa CPA PEP
1)would you suggest po ba na magtake ng challenge exam rather than register for core 1?
3) any textbook po you can recommend that can help to pass core 1 module? Thank you po.

Hello po,

Tanong ko lang po sana. May plano po kasi kaming mag-oofficemates na mag-migrate to Canada. Saang province po kaya mas maraming opportunities for CPAs (with 3 to 4 year experience in one of the Big 4 audit firms dito sa Pinas)?

Also, ano po ba yung process pagdating namin dun para po makahanap ng work na malapit sa field natin (i.e. bookkeeping, etc)?

And meron din po ba kaming mga pwedeng i-take na certifications (enroute to CMA, CGA, or CA) dito sa Pinas na nirerecognize ng Canada while waiting po sa visa?

Salamat po! :)

1. The Greater Toronto Area is the financial capital of Canada and the third largest financial services centre in North America, you can also go for Ontario

2. As to the process, you can visit Chartered Professional Accountants Ontario website or AccountinginCanada.ca to know the process. Please note po na each province may have diff. Requirements

3. For addtl cert, you can try to obtain cert on bookkeeping, accounting technician, microsoft specialist and familiarise urself on some of the most common accountng software

If you are really determined to go there i wud advise you prioritise creating ur EE coz gathering the docs wud take some time.

Hope this help!

Hello, Hime Cindy.

Thank you very much for your response. Very helpful po.

Actually po, industry exposure po namin is towards financial services organizations, but more on Funds Audit. Are there any Filipinos po ba na nagkapagwork na po sa Big 4 audit firms jan? If so, do you know po ba if they accept resources na nakapag-work na sa kanilang PH-counterpart firms?

Thanks.
