Hi All,

We recently moved from US to Canada (October, 2016). I was working in US on H1B visa and now do not have any income from US other than interest from bank account and dividend from investment account.

Can anyone with similar situation & experience suggest if we can keep the US bank & investment accounts open, since we do not have any status in US now? (Please let me know if a similar question is already answered, I tried to search but could not find)

Also, can you recommend a CPA who can help filing taxes with this situation with reasonable fees.

Thanks

Yes. You can. I had moved to Canada for a year after maxing out my H1B and kept my US account open. Also , I have moved back to USA and still have my Canadian bank account open. My Canadian visa will expire this month.
