My PR expired.i want to go calgary.which USA border is best to enter.

Others can comment but maybe the Sweetgrass-Coutts crossing followed by a 300km drive to Calgary but ultimately depends on your start point to get to anyone to recommend a crossing.

Having an expired PR card makes no difference which border crossing as you will still be asked same questions by CBSA on residency whichever crossing you chose

Yes i just got my citizenship ceremony invitation next month.i left canada in May ,2017.and in June my PR card expired. Can i rent car in USA and drive to Calgary with landing documents.

Yes it would be no problem. Can also show your expired PR card and citizen invite so there should be no question from CBSA about your PR status.
