Hello,

My husband and I have been looking for employment options in Canada in order to immigrate. We have been approached by a consultancy in Delhi, India and they offered assistance in getting job placement before processing VISA. We were in formed that the VISA will be processed by the employer for both applicant and spouse.
He had an interview with Constellation Software Inc. on Friday and received an offer letter on Sunday afternoon. We tried verifying the company details and were able to get details. But we were not able to find the HR who sent the offer letter. Hence, we are not sure on the legitimacy of the offer. Any help will be highly appreciated.
Below is the offer letter as sent:

Did they charge your or going to charge you any money for this offer? If yes, then you need to be careful of the scams. Genuine employers will never ask for any money from the employee. But if you are getting this job through an agency or consultancy then they might charge. But still its difficult to trust anyone.

Did they charge your or going to charge you any money for this offer? If yes, then you need to be careful of the scams. Genuine employers will never ask for any money from the employee. Thanks for the reply. The employer has not asked for money. However, there will be a consultation fee that teh consultancy will charge and that is asubstantial amount. Hence, we wanted to verify if teh job offer looks genuine.
Tell the consultancy you will pay only after you start job there. If they agree then its genuine. Else not. This is just my opinion. Or how I would deal in a given situation.

As said in the other reply this is a scam as nobody get 30 days vacation with flights paid for nor do IT people get free accomodation for potentially 5 years plus as also said the HR email address is not valid for the company plus who on earth offers a job in a contract without detailing the responsibilities but instead just accepts the applicants resume as the responsibilities .

The consultant will likely take your fee and then say the job fell through but sorry no refund.

Try emailing the company directly using their official email form although Constellation SW looks like an umbrella company anyway http://www.csisoftware.com/about-us/contact-us/

Similar offer letter with company name changed. I landed on to this website after searching for HR personnel name 'ANGELA GRATTON HUMAN RESOURCES' Also when i checked the email id domain its @theritzcarlton.ca which is fake, when i checked the original company website http://www.careers.marriott.com/technical-guidelines/ clicking on 'protecting yourself from recruitment scam' it says from the list of approved Marriott email domains @ritzcarlton.com.

To verify if they are real or fake ask for consultant identification and verify at below website.

Good spot this job offer is just about identical word for word as the OP.

Still difficult to see what the intent is and when any money changes hands as cannot see this is simply some form of ID theft.

As per some telephone scams these people prey on the vulnerable and desperate, even more so when people are looking for any route for immigration. As always if an offer looks to good to be true then it probably is, as in this case.

Intent is these visa processing agent, will charge high fees and give false assurance to clients of job in hand. But once landed in Canada, one has to go through all the struggle to find the odd job for survival. In this whole process the agency get more client and more money.
If we ask any individual who is having job (even if it is stressful) in India, that we will give him visa to go to Canada, no one will be interested unless there is confirmed job and accommodation in hand.

Don't do it. You'll be throwing away money. You have to pay a fee and they say they help you find a job. You have to pay the fee whether they find a job for you or not. They won't find a job for you.
