emedicals

  1. Hello everyone!

    So we have officially started - just got back from a medical, which went fine :)

    We did the upfront version and they gave us a document with a UMI number (if I am not mistaken)
    Can we somehow check online that the results have been sent?

    It sort of worries me, just to let it slide - don't want them to be forgotten about and stuff

  2. I was able to call the Call Centre and the agent verified my results were in. Also, once you get on to Ecas, it will usually say "medicals recieved."

    I have heard of a doctor in one case that forgot to mail in the forms (before the emedical switch)!

    I'm not aware of any other methods to verify your medicals were sent in, but I could be wrong.

    and "once you get on to Ecas" - how do I do that?

    Once you have your UCI and/or File Number, go here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/my_application/status.asp

    Follow the prompts and sign in. It does take Ecas a few days to be loaded and it doesn't always work. (My husband can almost never sign in, but I usually can.) So if it doesn't work the first time, try again, wait a few minutes, try the next day, etc.
