Does Working for Red Cross count as skilled work experience?

Hi all,
I worked for the Canadian red cross through a temp agency a while back. My job duties matches much of what is in Noc code 4212:

http://noc.esdc.gc.ca/English/noc/Profile.aspx?val=4&val1=4212&ver=11&_ga=2.196443685.843524746.1505707609-180237789.1436627048

Problem is, instead of accessing eligibility for social assistance, I was accessing eligibility for crisis relief funds (this was during the Fort McMurray fire crisis of 2016). I don't know if I can use this code while making my EE application and make an explanation somewhere stating the discrepancy. Can anyone shed more light on this? Thanks

Do you have the correct educational background in social work or community services?

I do have a degree in political science which is a social science and a degree in social sciences is one of the qualifying degrees for such a position. Don't know if that counts.

When looking at NOCs in general make sure to look at the education part.

Although your job may have seemed similar sounds like you were providing emergency information and not the social work/counselling necessary for this NOC.

Thanks. Do you have an idea of what NOC it might fit into?

There is no such thing as "correct educational background" - that is the employment requirements of each NOC are completely irrelevant. One must only look at whether the duties and responsibilities match the NOC chosen.

"The “Employment Requirements” listed in the NOC occupational description are not applicable."

Still not the correct NOC the educational background can give you more insight into the NOC. This particular NOC requires more than providing information there is a social work/community worker component. The Red cross job sounds more like customer service/administration where you are providing the information.
