I just got my PR beginning this year.
I worked in a company the head office is in France. There is an opportunity that I might go to work in France.
How does this count as days to renew my PR in the future?

My understanding is if it's Canadian company, it might count days in Canada.
Since the head-office is in France, if I can get certain memo or official letter to show that I move to France due to working, will it help?

Please help.

I have been asked several agent who works for Immigrants.

So ,the answer is "it doesn't count", if it's not Canadian Corporation.

6.5 Employment outside of Canada
The Regulations enable permanent residents to comply with the residency obligations while working abroad, provided that:
-they are under contract to or are full-time employees of a Canadian business or in the public service, where the assignment is controlled from the head office of a Canadian business or public institution in Canada;
-they are assigned on a full-time basis as a term of their employment or contract to a position outside Canada with that business, an affiliated enterprise or a client;
-they maintain a connection to a Canadian business;
-they are assigned on a temporary basis to the work assignment; and
-they will continue working for the employer, in Canada, after the assignment.

And read specifically all info under R61:
12 Procedure: Guidelines for examining the residency obligation
R61(1): Whether the employment abroad is being conducted on behalf of a provincial or federal government or a “Canadian business”.

There are lots of discussions on this topic if you search this forum.

Hello all,

I need some help in understanding my current situation and if I would incur in any issues while counting towards my PR obligations? Here is my situation:

1) I've been hired as a consultant for a Canadian organization in Canada at first.

2) After that, I've been relocated as a permanent employee for an overseas office of this Canadian organization.The contract has been signed in Canada.

3) My contract isn't linked to this foreign office and I might be relocated back to Canada at anytime.

Thanks!
