Hello experts,

1 year ago I received my Canadian permanent residence and it is already a year I am here in Toronto working in one of the Torontonian companies.

I have in my plans to move to Germany for 3 years, and for this reason I was concerned about loosing my Canadian residence.

The reason of my move is that I want to complete my Master s degree in Germany, but besides my studies I also have an offer from one of the Canadian companies in Germany.

In cic official website I see it is written that if I am employed in Canadian business abroad then it will be counted as days lived in Canada. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=727&top=4

Could anyone please provide some information on how can I check if working at company "Delta Controls"https://www.deltacontrols.com/about located in Germany having headquarters in Vancouver, Canada will satisfy the "Canadian business" factor.

Thanks and regards,
Grigor

Almost 100% certain that it will NOT satisfy the exemption. It's not even close to qualifying.

This question has been asked so many times and the rules are pretty clear that in order to claim towards PR RO due to fact that you are working for a Canadian company outside of Canada you need to be employed by that company in Canada and assigned on a temp basis outside of Canada.

Taking up employment outside Canada for a Canadian business is not the same and cannot be counted towards maintaining PR RO. So as a long shot only if you were employed directly by Delta Vancouver and then had a formal contract from them saying they were assigning you to Germany on a temp basis could this work, but not if your work contract is with German office directly.

As you only landed 1 year ago you have an obligation to at least be in Canada for another year in the first 5 years to meet the 2 out of 5 requirement. Granted you could split the RO with time already spent for example the 1 year already spent , then spend absolute max 3 years out, then 1 year back without leaving at all so is a matter of ensuring the 3 years out is not exceeded at all in this example.

See here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5445ETOC.asp#appendixA

Hello,

i was working part time as a technician(Skill level B job), my job title said i was part time. But i worked equivalent to full time for a year(40 hrs/week).Would my experience counted as full time for a year(for express entry),as i crossed 1560 hrs for a year(more than 40 hrs every week)?
Your post has nothing to do with the question being asked in the original post here and you already asked this question in your own post
