Im a permanent resident in Canada who wants to sponsor my same sex partner. She is residing in the Philippines. We have been dating for over 5 years. We never had the chance to live together because I have to move to Canada when we started our relationship.
Anyway, these are the things that we got:
  • Joint Bank Account
  • Condominium
Also, I've been sending her money. Every year I go back to the Philippines to visit her. So in 5 years, I had 3 visits. We also traveled to different countries like Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Vietnam. I once applied her as a tourist here in Canada, but got denied.

Im planning to sponsor her as my Conjugal Partner.

What are the chances of us getting approved base on our situation? If we're gonna apply as a Conjugal Partner..

Thank you, in advance.

Conjugal partner only applies in very rare and specific circumstances.

In you case, there does not appear to be anything to stop you both flying to a country that allows legal marriage of a same sex couple, or indeed both living together as common law in such a country.

So it is possible for you to apply under the other two categories (perhaps inconvenient, but that is not what conjugal sponsorship is about).

That's what we did, she applied as a tourist here but got denied. We can't live together as I moved here in Canada at the age of 16.

And what is stopping you from returning back to her and living with her for 12 months? Having a job or something of that nature is not a hindrance, and I understand that it is not recognized in the Philippines, however you don't need it to be recognized there, you only need to complete 12 months of cohabitation in order for it to be considered common law. As stated previously, a conjugal application would be a colossal waste of your time and money at this point.

Agreed (with everyone). Chances of conjugal are next to none. To many other available avenues for the OP to try first.

Meet in New Zealand and get married is an option. Meet in the US and get married is another option. Meet in any other country that allows same sex marriage and get married if you don't want to live in Philippines for a year.
