For Express entry, the biggest problem might be your past in USA. So maybe first check criminal admissibility and the period you need and the process you need to do to become eligible for Canada.

Returning to the US won't be an option for at least seven more years - maybe more. You need to forget about the US in the short term.

But what about the interview? Should i go? And the waiver after that
If the case got closed, i will have to pay all the expenses all over again including the lawyer's fees, if this is the case why the lawyer did not tell me that?
