Applying for work permit and bring my wife

Hi,

I've got a job offer as Software Developer in Canada and I am applying to Permanent Residence process to under provincial nomination for my wife and I. However, to start working soon, I applied for a Work Permit only for me.

Will I be able to bring my wife if I get a work permit?

If yes, will my wife have access to health care in Canada?

Should I change my work permit application and apply for an Open wok permit to my wife?

If your job position is a skill position, which I think it is, yes you can bring your wife to Canada and get her an open work permit.

And yes she will have access to health care as your dependant even if you bring her with a visitor visa.
