Hi harupit200281.  I'm in a similar situation to you.  We're doing common-law sponsorship through Taipei (which historically appears to have pretty fast processing times).  Our eCas was updated saying that PR processing began on Sept. 16 and since then there has been nothing at all.  Just like you, there was not even a mention about medicals.

So far, I'm not too worried - I think we need to just try and relax because we are still well within regular processing times.  Wink  I know it's easier said that done though, with so many other people on here getting their good news (even though I'm very happy for them!!).

If there is no news from CHC and the waiting is unbearable, you may apply for CAIPS note. It is a good source of information to see whats going on with your file. It is worth of knowing how they are processing your application. CAIPS note takes 1 month to be processed after they receive your request.

Cheers

Hi harupit & TripleP,

Same situation here, only one line on eCAS, it says that they started processing my application on September 25. After which no further infor, no indication if they had received medicals and etc. It's been over 2 months now since sponsorship approval, no further update. I'm worried big time...Sad

Thanks habib.  Actually, I didn't realize that it was so cheap and easy to order CAIPS notes until I was reading up on them in this thread: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/search-results/-t11124.0.html;msg39772;topicseen#msg39772

Since I'm sponsoring my common-law girlfriend who is currently living with me in Canada, it seems she can order CAIPS notes for free, correct?  If that's the case, we may just go ahead and order them since it will only cost us a stamp!

sure you can order them for free and it will take about a month for you to receive them. we had similar problem and ordered CAIPS - and our case became very clear after we received them.
good luck!

Yikes!
They don't do PPR over e-mail? What if the letter never arrives to begin with? Scary...

they usually send both by email and mail, you were just lucky to receive it. no one can rely on post service now. if you haven't paid landing fee, try to do it now to safe time and send receipt by mail together with your passport.
congratulation with good news!

What happned to all of our friends?? No news from anybody from long time here??? I have a question if somebody may answer. When i applied for the PR, i had old passport. Before i received the PPR i renewed the passport... now when they requested my passport, i sent new passport along with the old one. Is there any problem>Huh do i need to send any other document?? Please advice accordingly.

Hey harupit,

I think some of the posters in this thread already received their PPRs and are busy getting ready to land in Canada.  Congrats again to all of them!  As for your question, I have no idea for sure, but I'm *guessing* what you did should be OK.

Since there has been literally no update whatsoever on our case since Sept. 16, we decided to go ahead and order CAIPS last week.  I'm guessing the CAIPS notes should arrive just before Christmas or in the first couple weeks of the new year.  I'll let you guys know when I receive them, or if we receive anything before then (PPR, interview request, request for additional documents, etc.).

you did just fine. they would ask you for that any way - you just saved yours and their time.
