Here's our timeline so far. They requested the state clearances again even though we waited so long for them to arrive before submitting :( The waiting starts again. Anyone knows after submitting the clearance, how will it take for them to request PPR.? Outland (Buffalo) Us citizen
2009 Aug 4: Sponsorship app received in Miss 2009 Aug 31: Sponsorship approved 2009 Sept 17 : In-process (received AOR Sept 19) 2009 Oct 14: Initial assessment completed, no interview required, 2nd police clerance required
I guess, it will take a month maximum to finalize your application on this stage

Oh, and Whoopi, thanks so much for the warning about possible email from the Visa Office. And for re-assuring that the process with London office can be quite inconsistant. I will try not to compare the order of things too much with others causing me to worry. It is hard though because we're all so anxious. This is our lives here eh!
no problem. eCAS has updated for me too; started processing 19th Oct !!

congratulations! have you received AOL yet? London does not always send. Doubt we'd receive anything at the moment with strikes and 30 million plus mail items undelivered! Thanks

Have you heard of anyone receiving request for passport before getting, or without getting, an AOR ? And Congrats on reaching 'In Process' stage Whoopi! We seem to have pretty much the exact same timeline :)

We're almost there!

Keep fingers crossed Whoopi! But I will try not to get my hopes to high on getting a decision from them yet. by the looks of trackkit.com there are very few refusals however many people still waiting after several months. Or did I understand the site incorrectly?
I'm an optimist though, so I'll keep smiling! :)

From the site there are a few waiting a while but there are also a lot who are approved quickly. I sort by application sent to see who before me is still waiting or sort by stauts pending to see who is waiting and what their circumstances are. From what I can see, if there are other resident countries involved it takes longer than if one is a UK born resident who has only lived in the UK... perhaps I'm wrong but it would make sense as there are less background checks in terms of contacting other countries and authorities who may not be very fast....

Just to update everyone...
E-CAS told me that a decision was made on 10/9. I got the PPR on 10/19 (e-mail through lawyer) and sent passport directly to Buffalo the same day. They got it 10/20 and I am now waiting for the passport to get back to me.
Assuming I get the passport back soon, I plan to "land" at YVR (Vancouver International) December 18 and meet my Wife in Calgary later that day.

Whoopi - are you the sponsor or the main applicant? Sorry if you already mentioned this..... I am the sponsor. My common-law hubby is Slovak, we reside in the UK. So if your point is true perhaps out application will be one of the slower ones :( But, as I said, I am a true optomist!

Hi mysg - I am the applicant. The sponsor has had enough of it and progressing as though life is normal. I on the other hand have repetitive strain injury from checking eCAS and these sites daily LOL!
I'm sure we'll all be finished together too ;o)

Whoopi - Funny, my main applicant feels the same as your sponsor....going about his days as normal. Me? I'm like you and have become obsessed! I'm reading through forum threads constantly and checking trackkit more times than necessary! lol!
