Here's our timeline so far. They requested the state clearances again even though we waited so long for them to arrive before submitting The waiting starts again. Anyone knows after submitting the clearance, how will it take for them to request PPR.? Hmmm. Status in ECAS just changed to Decision Made in the PR Column.
The full status now reads:
We started processing ########## application on September 15, 2009. Medical results have been received. A decision has been made on ########### application. The office will contact ########### concerning this decision.
With a postal strike imminent in the UK, this could be interesting.
why not to contact them in email relating your application and explain the situation with a postal strike? they might send their decision back in email to you.

Hi Habib My spouses file started processing in September 28, and the only thing I am able to see is that the application has been started processing, have you sent the mediclas and police clearence? Those applicants whose spousal sponsorship has been forwarded to Singapore, can you see the medical has been received message in e-cas? Or only you can see that the application has bee started processing message?
Thank you.
Habib

[/quote] Yes, I have sent medical and police clearance with the application. I guess it was on the application checklist, I just followed it. Thank you. Habib

Hi! I'm a bit of a late joiner, but I've been reading through this thread this past week or so. It's feels comforting to know so many people are going through the same things right now. I've noticed many of you on this thread have been approved throughout the whole process to PPR within about 3 months! Big Congrats!! I'm sure many of you can agree that this process feels like living in limbo. That's how I'm feeling anyway.
I'm sponsoring my common-law husband. He's Slovak and we are living in London, hence the PR application is going through London office. As you can see from my timeline I've been waiting for the PR to be 'In Process". It's been 6 weeks but PR is still "Not Available" on Ecas. I'm becoming very anxious especially with the Royal Mail postal strikes going on I feel worried they haven't received our papers yet, or that the papers will be lost. I assume though that the documents would have been sent by 'special mail' and therefore should not be affected by the strike. Does anyone know?
There are some of you who also have gone through London, and seemingly without problem, which is extremely comforting. Are there others who have had to wait as long as me or longer for PR status to change to "In Process" and get their AOR ?
Please, can someone ease my anxiety more? This thread is great and I hope it keeps on going!
Thanks to all of you!

Hi Algerina, lets keep our fingers crossed!
I've read in other Forums that it is ok to contact the visa office if there is no change in status after 60 days. Does anyone else know about this? But the CIC website says inquiries can possibly slow down the process. How could this be so I wonder?

Hi MYSG - our timelines are almost identical. Nothing here either. We were sponsor approved 09/09/2009 and received letter from Miss.Ca on 15/09/09. Nothing showing on eCAS.
There are a few others around our timeline too - check trackitt.com and it should show that we must be nearly there....

Hi whoopi83. Thanks for the link! This is helpful. I thought I had seen that link advised in a forum somewhere (maybe this one?) but couldn't find it again when I went looking for it. So thanks a bundle! So your PR status is still 'Not Available' ?

Correct. From what I've read over the weeks London is particularly inconsistent. You may get an update on eCAS, you may not. Some people have not had updates until PPR is received, one or two have said the PR status never changed! There are those also who can access eCAS relatively quick but then wait months for any changes... It's all too much! Be sure to check your email regularly; a majority of folks have received passport request via email (if you listed an email address). Check your junk folder too; the address sent from will be re-london-im-enquiry @ international.gc.ca and should have a subject title beginning with your immigration file number (of which you don't have yet) B*********.

Oh, and Whoopi, thanks so much for the warning about possible email from the Visa Office. And for re-assuring that the process with London office can be quite inconsistant. I will try not to compare the order of things too much with others causing me to worry. It is hard though because we're all so anxious. This is our lives here eh!
