Hi zghansar,
Welcome to this group...
Now you are the 6th member of this group...
Still my application has not reached also... I am leaving in Dubai.... but thanks to this forum, I have applied through New Delhi.... because i came to know that it takes a very long time to process from Abu Dhabi office.... My application has not yet reached... hopefully it will reach soon according to my wife...

I was thinking about New Delhi too, but since my wife lives in Oman, she will have to go to India to send the passport (as India does not allow sending passport outside the country) and also if there is an interview they will have to travel to new Delhi. Another thing is that New Delhi will send the document to be checked by the regional abu Dhabi office, and I suspect the timeline will be slow again for that as well.

Hence I applied through Abu Dhabi

Hey guys,

I m applying through the Berlin office, I think. They take forever... =(

I m talking about this website:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/canada/process-in.asp
This is only for the sponsorship to be processed, though, not the whole application... =)

Hi OneLuckyCookie,
I saw the link you provided. But it seems that those timings are for the in-canada applications and not for the outland applications. Anyhow, let's just wait... My wife told me that she has already mailed the application to CPC-M. I hope it should reach by monday..
How about other friends on this thread?? Friends keep updating.... Keep posting

Torr is the first in our line.... I hope you must be getting your reply (Decision) by 22nd August.... That is what i have noticed normal timing to get the answer from CPC-M.

Hi harupit200281,

Great thread, thanks for the idea.

Talking about my calculations about decision date I would agree with OneLuckyCookie explanation.

On this web page http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/canada/process-in.asp you can check current applications processing times.

Today (Aug 15) there is 43 days processing time for Sponsorship application. And currently they are processing applications that were received up to July 9. My application was received on July 20.

So you have to wait for your application to be started processing first and than wait the processing time.

So, July 20 - July 9 = 11 days for my application to be started processing
Plus 43 days of processing time. It might be a little bit less for me as the processing times include a 10–day mailing period and I live really close to CPC, so 8 days less is my guess.
Altogether it's (11 + 43 - 8) = 46 days more starting from today. So my guess for the decision date is Oct 1.

After that, if everything is fine (i hope so), our application will be forwarded to Buffalo, NY where 50% of cases finalized on 5 month. Mar 1 will be our day. It will be a good start for spring :)

Actually I hope that we will be lucky and have the decision on our hands before Feb 2 as this is the deadline for application to York's University Financial Faculty where my wife is going to continue her studying... According to http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/international/05-fc-spouses.asp our chances to get the train is 30%...

Hope you wish luck to us cause it's the thing we need so much!

@  harupit: The link I posted only shows the "in Canada" part of the application. When you apply under the family class, your Canadian sponsor will be evaluated. This part of the application is processed in Canada. Then there is another link:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/international/05-fc-spouses.asp
This link shows you the processing times for the principal applicant. It is the part that is processed abroad either in your country of residence or the nearest Visa Office.
Hope this helps!

Good luck to everyone!

You wont have any updates until CPC-M opens your file which is in about a month or so as they say 43 days but usually its little quicker than 43 days.

So you sent your file end of July, so expect the file to be opened by around September first week or so, the day they open your file they will ok your application as a sponsor and send a letter to you, ecas should reflect it in a few days after it.

Hi...

I know we are outside your group's timeframe, but I thought you might like to know that my sponsorship application was received by CPC-M on July 15th and I have not yet received any communication from them.  I am hoping to hear within the next 7-10 days.  The average time was reported as 42 days recently.
