Hi Guys, I'm new to this forum, and found this very helpful!

I'm living in the USA, but married to my husband who lives in Canada and is also a Canadian citizen. I'm applying through a lawyer, I just sent in my paperwork to the lawyer last week. I didn't realize how stressful and time consuming the sponsorship applications would be! I had to go back and collect all the information to prove that my relationship with my husband is legit. They asked for 8 photos of the wedding, 4 photos of the reception, etc.... but I sent in a ton of extra's, also lots of phone bills, emails, any receipts that I had.

Anyway, I'm really excited and I can't wait to join my husband in Canada. I hope everything goes smoothly. The only thing I'm needing to send in is my medical, fingerprints, and background check. My application will be going through the visa office of New Delhi.

Anyone else here submitted their sponsorship application recently? 
I hear it takes 6 months from New Delhi
