Hi Everyone,

I have received the proof of our wedding pictures and others back from Canadian High Commission today. They sent all the pictures back along with a card stating "with the compliments of the CANADIAN HIGH COMMISSION"  They also put a sticker with the bar code on the letter having a reference on Bar code starting with B05............

Does anyone have any idea what it means? Does it mean that my case is on the final stages (which i am hoping). By the way they started processing my case from 26th Nov 2010. I have visited Canada many times in the past and its was the same office who is dealing with my case now.

Pleasee please can someone reply me with this query, as it seems a bot hope for me.

Regards,

Naz

Hi Naz that is a good sign.  Usually means you are at the final review stage and you will likely receive your PPR shortly... The B05xxx number is your file number.  I suspect you will receive your PPR letter email within the next couple of weeks.

I've only gotta give a week which is good, but id like to book a flight soon as poss due to the ever increasing fuel charges. Will probably flight from Heathrow to Toronto direct. Probably with Air Canada

They received my passport on February 18th, but I posted mine from Canada so god only knows how long my passport will take to come back... It's such a pain, I have a job and everything ready to go but until I get my passport back I guess it is back to the waiting game again!!! I was hoping probably stupidly that I would get it back in two weeks, but I guess it will probably be closer to four.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. Atleast i have some hope now. Do they always send you an email for the request of passport? and can you actually go in person get your passport stamped?

I would appreciate your reply.

its fantastic that people are getting their PPR but the very fact that people who have applied after we did have received theirs, really concerns me.
Do you not think that if there is a concern with our file that they should have advised us by now?  They have had our file now for 3 months...at what point should i contact the CIC? The very fact that they tell us not to contact them until the average processing time has passed is ridiculous when you sit here and watch others on the forum gain their PPR.  If I was to get to the end of the average processing time and get refused then what on earth have i sat here in Canada with nothing to do for??
What do they expect us to do whilst waiting? Grrrrr.....ok rant over...thanks for listening!

Hey,
Let us know when you receive it back. Millu and I also posted passport from canada and it would be nice to know roughly when we can expect to get it back.
Good luck!!

Hi Naz,

London sent back the photos we had sent in with our application (along with the same compliments slip you received) on Christmas Eve and I got my PPR on 6th January 2011, so looks like you're nearing the end!

You should receive your PPR via email if you provided an email address with your application but they will normally mail you a copy too - I received both (email first) but some people only get one or the other - like everything else in this process, it seems to vary from person to person.

You can go in person to the Canadian High Comission in London to drop your passport. They are only open for passport drop off / pick-up on Thursdays between 2pm and 3pm. All the information will be on the PPR.

Hope that helps!
Suze
